Delete your Shadow of Reality account and data

This page explains how to delete your account in the Shadow of Reality app, along with all the data linked to it. You can do it right in the app or by emailing us.

Delete your account in the app

• Open the Profile tab.
• Tap the ☰ menu.
• Choose Settings.
• Tap Delete account.
• Confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately and for good. This can’t be undone, and your data can’t be restored.

If you can’t get into the app

Email support@shadowofreality.fun from the address linked to your account, with the subject “Account deletion”. That way we can be sure the request really comes from you.

We’ll delete your account within 30 days (usually much sooner) and confirm by email.

What gets deleted

Your account and everything linked to it are deleted immediately:

• your profile: Google account ID, email address, name, nickname, bio and avatar;
• all your art, both published and private, including the image files;
• your comments;
• your likes, follows, blocks and reports;
• your notifications;
• your generation history.

What stays for a while

• Database backups. We make them every night and keep them for 14 days, so your data may remain in backups for up to 14 days before it disappears from there too.
• Web server logs with IP addresses and request details, for up to 14 days.
• Posts on our social media that featured your art earlier — until you ask us to remove them. Email us and we’ll do it within 7 days.

Delete only some of your data

If you don’t want to delete your whole account:

• Art. Open it and choose Delete art. If you only want to take it off the feed, choose Make private instead, and only you will see it.
• Comments. Open the comments on the art and delete your comment.
• Likes. To stop others seeing the art you liked, turn off Public likes in Settings.
